checks and stripes

Just a few changes that I wanted to share with y'all. Our old bedskirt had a huge tear in it, so I had a new one made in this brown check fabric. I think it totally anchors the room. Please ignore the wrinkles, I was too excited when I got home to see how the skirt would look, that I didn't even take the time to iron them out. You should have seen me trying to get this skirt on being 6 months pregnant.  Our mattress is a tempurpedic and virtually impossible to lift!

The monogram on our headboard is the exact shade of brown in the skirt, so the brown color scheme didn't come from out of the blue:)

The last project in our bedroom that I want to tackle is to either make a table skirt for our end tables, or just paint them a new color.  Haven't decided yet.

Harper's room also got a little update.  I had a ton of leftover fabric from his drapes, so I made a new bedskirt for him.  Sorry I didn't take a picture of the entire bed all made up.  I was way too winded after trying to get our king size bedskirt on, that I didn't even attempt to get Harper's on. I'll let Collin do that later:) But here is a little peek so you can get the idea. Again, ignore the wrinkles:)

I also had some cushions made for our counter stools.  They are so much more comfy now to sit in.

I am so glad I decided to go with white piping. It really adds a nice touch.

I haven't even started on the nursery yet, but I know exactly what I want it to look like. Stay tuned for a very girly baby post soon!
